Message from the CEO of Bijagua Rainforest Academy
It is a privilege for us to address you and share our journey as a family that has made this beautiful place our home. Over the years, we have gained a deep understanding of the challenges in accessing quality education nearby. As parents of two children, we have often had to travel long distances to ensure they receive the education they deserve. This experience has underscored the pressing need for a school in our community that provides high-quality, multilingual education—something essential for our children’s future and the growth of this region.
This is how the idea for Bijagua Rainforest Academy was born. We want to provide children with the opportunity to receive an education that not only prepares them academically but also opens doors to a future full of possibilities. We firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that fosters comprehensive development, sustainability, and cultural diversity.

Message from Our Principal
Welcome to Bijagua Rainforest Academy. It is a pleasure to address you as the director of this new multilingual educational center located in Bijagua, Costa Rica.
Over the past few years, my passion for education has deepened; I have had the privilege of teaching, leading teams, and founding international schools in the Guanacaste region. This journey has allowed me to develop a holistic vision of education and reaffirm my commitment to purposeful, high-quality teaching.
Together with our teaching and administrative team, we are working to integrate an international program with Costa Rica’s curriculum, addressing the needs of our community and building on the pillars of sustainability. Our primary goal is to provide quality education that promotes coexistence and respect for our planet.
We want our students to acquire multiple languages, as this enriches their personal growth, broadens their cultural horizons, and enables them to communicate in a globalized world, opening doors to greater academic and career opportunities and preparing them as global citizens capable of connecting communities and cultures.
This project fills me with excitement and hope. I am confident that, together with students, teachers, and the community, we will make BRFA a transformative educational center in harmony with the principles of coexistence and respect for our environment.

Karla Solano
Bilingual art teacher and renowned artist with an outstanding teaching career and deep knowledge of international curricula. Her vast experience allows her to apply innovative methodologies and specialized techniques that inspire and awaken creativity in her students.
Craig Fay
American teacher with extensive experience in teaching English phonetics and phonological awareness. Passionate about teaching, he uses innovative methodologies that motivate students to learn the language effectively and dynamically. His educational approach promotes deep learning, awakening interest and confidence in the use of the English language.
Dennis Alemán
Bilingual History and Geography teacher with a deep passion and commitment for educating students of all ages. His educational approach is based in patience and dedication to providing an enriching and stimulating learning environment. Passionate about teaching, he employs innovative methodologies that engage students and encourage them to explore historical events and geographical concepts in a dynamic way. His teaching philosophy promotes deep understanding and confidence in analyzing and interpreting the world history and geography around the world.
Milagros Gallegos
Her passion for education has grown over the last 25 years through teaching, leading teams, and her experience opening internationally-based schools in the Guanacaste area.By integrating her knowledge of the English language with her science background, she has become a holistic educator who leads her students in active and meaningful learning, with a strong focus on sustainable education.
Greislyn Cascante
With a deep passion for teaching, I am dedicated to creating a positive, dynamic, and welcoming learning environment. Throughout my experience in education, I have learned that every child is unique, and with patience and dedication, the right approach can be found for each one. My charisma and warmth allow me to connect with my students in a way that makes them feel comfortable, heard, and motivated to learn. Through innovative methodologies, I tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs, fostering their holistic development and helping them reach their full potential. My commitment is to make every day an opportunity to grow, explore, and learn together.
